A domain name is essentially your address on the web.  Picking your domain name is like choosing your address.  Your domain name allows people to find you on the Internet.  Hence, the more personal and catchy your domain name, the easier and faster it is to locate your web site.

Registering a domain name is easy and this can be done through a registrar alone or directly through a hosting company like DRC.  For those who don't have the time for the technical hassle of registering a domain name, but need to have their site up quickly, it is advisable to register your domain name through your hosting company.
